Who am I
I have a background in Marketing, Sales, Economics, Food and Sustainability. During my career at Unilever, it became clear to me that I get more energy from employee growth than from revenue growth. Since 2003 I have actively followed training and courses to familiarize myself with the profession of career coach. In 2007, this resulted in a career switch from commercial management to coaching.
Since employees only function optimally and experience happiness at work if the company situation fits well with them, I have further developed myself as a team, organization and executive coach. All with the aim of making the 60,000 hours that a person works on average as interesting, productive and energizing as possible!
I live with my registered partner and foster son in Rotterdam, where I like to be active in nature. Sustainability and especially the pursuit of successful (and business-driven) interventions to create a more sustainable world are of great interest to me.
Activities that give me a lot of energy are gardening, making wine, discovering new cultures, unraveling psychological dilemmas and enjoying gastronomy and a good glass of single malt whiskey from time to time. ?

Simple, sober and concrete! My insecurity turned around within a few months because of his calm demeanor and his faith in me. With a simple step-by-step plan I had clear what I had to do and what I had to work on. In the beginning I didn’t quite understand where he wanted to go, I found that confusing (tip to make it clear more quickly which step is intended for what). But suddenly all the puzzle pieces fell into place!
My vision of my work
I like to contribute to your happiness at work and I find it interesting to make your questions practical, concrete, manageable and measurable, so that you are (again) able to influence your current work situation independently. Personal marketing and sales (that’s you!) is the starting point and the end point.
Through my guidance you will understand your work context better and you will receive tools to work on your professional development and profiling. I also make sure that you take some distance from your work situation. From that helicopter view you usually see more than when you are still in the middle of it. We also look at other situations in which you notice that things could be done better.
My coaching can be described as direct and no-nonsense, empathetic, result-oriented and has a mix of coaching, sparring and advice. Sometimes I take the lead when we notice together that you can’t figure it out on your own. With the aim of taking control again if you have the right insights and energy!
I also like to work on effective stakeholder management, energy management, strengthened leadership and on developing your own program to be continuously attractive to the labor market.
The same applies to my work-to-work guidance. When you know yourself well, know what you want and you can express that in a natural and powerful way in all kinds of (social) media and networks, then you will have a suitable position again in the foreseeable future!
